Description

Claire Cumbie-Drake graduated with a BA from Vanderbilt University in 1980; a Masters of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina in 1983; and a JD from Drake University in 1998. Prior to practicing law, Claire worked as: a health planner with the Kansas Department of Public Health; an advocate for persons with HIV/AIDS with the Metrolina AIDS Project in Charlotte North Carolina; and volunteer coordinator with York County Hospice in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Claire worked with Legal Services Corporation of Iowa before joining Harrison & Dietz-Kilen in 2000. Claire practices primarily in the areas of: Elder Law; Probate; Wills and Trust; and Real Estate. Outside the practice of law, Claire serves on the board of several non-profit organizations. She enjoys gardening, cooking, biking, yoga and spending time with friends and family.
