Rod started APS with a clear mission: to create a thriving business that would give him the flexibility and resources to pursue short-term mission work and serve others both locally and globally. With deep roots in commercial restaurant equipment, Rod earned a reputation early on as the go-to expert for tackling the toughest mechanical challenges. Whether it’s heating, cooling, plumbing, or specialty equipment, there’s hardly a system Rod hasn’t mastered. He became known as the guy who could solve the problems that had everyone else scratching their heads. What sets Rod apart isn’t just his technical knowledge—it’s his relentless curiosity, creative thinking, and passion for people. Clients trust him not just to fix what’s broken, but to provide solutions that last. Outside of work, Rod is all about family. He cherishes time spent with his loved ones, whether they’re adventuring on the road, enjoying a car show, or relaxing at home. A true enthusiast, Rod loves cars, traveling, and exploring new places—always chasing his next challenge, both under the hood and around the world.     Bob Daniels is the co-owner of Advanced Problem Solutions, bringing a hands-on work ethic, a wide range of skills, and a heart for service to homes and businesses across Iowa. A proud Des Moines native, Bob grew up working in local grocery stores and restaurants—developing the strong work ethic that continues to drive him today. After high school, he dove into several trades, gaining valuable experience in carpentry, bricklaying, and factory work. But it wasn’t until 2005 that Bob found his true calling in the mechanical service industry. From that point on, he committed himself to mastering the craft. In 2015, Bob partnered with longtime friend and fellow problem-solver Rod Brace to help grow Advanced Problem Solutions into a trusted name in HVAC and plumbing. Together, they've built a company that thrives on fixing what others can't, and doing it right the first time. Bob’s passion isn’t just for the trade—it’s for the people. Whether it’s a homeowner needing comfort restored or a business relying on fast, expert solutions, Bob approaches every job with dedication and integrity. When he’s not working, Bob’s all about family time. You’ll often find him in the garage with his boys, tuning up cars, grilling out, or heading to the racetrack.
