  • Erin M. Carr

    Managing Partner

    A Competitive Drive to Succeed. Erin Carr graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois in 2002 with a degree in Political Science. In search of more knowledge, he attended the University of Iowa and graduated with another degree in Economics after just one year of study. He then attended law school at Drake University where he graduated with honors in 2006. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa in 2006 and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa in 2007. In furtherance of his dedication to trial and appellate advocacy, he gained admission to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in 2013. Erin started the Carr & Wright Law Firm with his partner, Jeff Wright, in October of 2007. In 2018 the Firm was re branded to the Carr Law Firm. Since then he has focused his practice almost exclusively in the area of litigation and trial work. Erin has provided representation for persons accused of crimes in various district courts of the State of Iowa ranging from simple misdemeanors to major felonies. In the last few years, Erin has moved his practice to federal court as well and has represented individuals in some of the largest drug cases in the history of our state. Erin's practice also includes work in the areas of divorce, family law, juvenile law, and general civil litigation. Erin is committed to a competitive fire to represent his clients in the court of law. He believes strongly in the power and justice of the American legal system and he is ready to use his knowledge of the system to aggressively fight for the rights of his clients. In addition to his litigation practice, Erin has worked to better the legal profession and protect the values promoted by the Iowa Rules of Ethics. He has worked for the Supreme Court Client Securities Commission as a trustee and greatly values his role in protecting the legal profession.     Bryan was born and raised in eastern Iowa and attended the University of Iowa graduating in 2003 with a B.A. Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. He then moved to the Des Moines area while he attended Drake Law School and remained after graduating and passing the bar in 2006. In 2007, he passed the Illinois bar and was also admitted into the Southern District of Iowa in federal court. He is currently practicing throughout central and southern Iowa, especially in Polk, Warren and Marion Counties. Bryan initially practiced at another local firm before joining Carr & Wright in 2011, as he saw the opportunity to join a dynamic and growing firm. Bryan brings passion, energy and extensive knowledge of complex family and juvenile law issues. He understands the stresses that these situations place on the client and their families. His experience in litigating and settling highly charged family and juvenile law matters combined with his experiences as a mediator have given him the perspective and knowledge necessary to aid clients in securing the best outcomes. He takes great pride in being able to guide clients through what can be a very difficult process emotionally while ensuring that the client always knows that he will represent them in the manner they want.     Gina was born and raised in northwest, Iowa and attended Augustana University in Sioux Fallas, SD. She graduated in 2005 with a B.A. in Government/International Affairs and a minor in Communication. While at Augustana University she was privileged enough to intern for Senator Charles E. Grassley in Washington D.C. After graduating from Augustana she earned her Juris Doctorate from Western Michigan University in 2010. While there she worked at the Michigan Attorney General's office in the Consumer Protection Division. After graduation she returned to Iowa to be nearer to her family. Since 2011 when admitted to practice, Gina has been a member of the Iowa State Bar Association as well as the Southern District of Iowa in federal court. She currently practices throughout central Iowa litigating family, juvenile, probate, and administrative law cases. Gina is able to counsel clients from the outset of the case through the appeals. She understands and explains the emotional stress and collateral consequences that litigation involves. Gina is also trained as a mediator and parenting coordinator in high conflict cases.Gina and her husband live west of the Des Moines Metro area. In the community she is involved in the Dallas County Bar Association, Blackstone Inn of Court, and the Abigial Adams Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

    Raya graduated from Drake University with a degree in International Business and Management in 2010. In furtherance of her business degree, she worked a corporation for a year. She then attended Drake University Law School where she graduated in 2014 with a Business Law Certificate. Raya was admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa in 2014 and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa in 2014. Raya joined the Carr&Wright Law Firm as an associate in 2015, after gaining experience as a law clerk for the firm. While she enjoys litigating criminal and family law matters, she also advises clients on transactional matters related to their small business and real estate needs.     Born and raised in Central Iowa, Jeremy grew up in the community competing in sports and academic competitions. His competitive nature continued into college at the University of Iowa where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering while representing the University on the U.S. Taekwondo team. After graduating from Iowa, Jeremy returned to the Des Moines area and attended Drake University to obtain his Jurisdiction Doctrine in Law. He interned for local defense attorneys and represented clients in criminal defense cases through the Drake Legal Clinic. Since graduation in 2010, Jeremy has settled down in Grimes where he spends his extra time with his family and coaching local sports teams. He continues his competitive nature vigilantly representing clients in the areas of criminal defense, custody cases, and divorces.
